MOST DISGUSTING MOMENT:
When Dais, despite instructions to the contrary, grabbed a Cicada for a snack!  Kimmie heard "Crunch! Crunch!" from behind, then turned to see Dais gulp down something . . . and found a Cicada wing stuck to her chin!

OUR DIRTIEST MOMENT:
When Kimmie let us share a sprinkler with neighbor Natty Bo, a Border Collie who had made a huge, muddy mess of his yard!
DAIS'S MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS:

When she PROUDLY captured a bird in her mouth on one of our walks and had to be told to let it go . . . When she dove, with a running start, off a stone wall and into an ornamental lake in pursuit of two ducks . . . When she tried to climb a bush to get at a bird's nest and FELL off the second branch . . . When she jumped onto the treadmill belt while Kimmie was jogging on it . . . When she first beat Coda at terrier races . . . When she caught her first camel cricket in the basement . . . When she plowed through a huge ravine of leaves on a hike in the fall . . . When she first protected Kimmie by correcting an aggressive growl from Molly . . . When she barreled down a steep creek slope, then up the other side on a hike, as if to show the rest of us how it's to be done . . . When she tried to jump up into Kimmie's car trunk, thinking we have a hatchback . . . When she took Timmy and rolled him over and over and over during a play session . . . When, while lifting Dais off the exam table at the vet's, Kimmie split her pants! . . . When she showed lots and lots of maternal patience and kindness to all our foster dogs . . . All the times when she was the first to learn a new command, then execute it perfectly over and over.
CODA'S MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS:

When he circled the room in a tug-of-war match with foster Percy and eventually won by getting the plush Westie toy all to himself . . . The first time he kissed Kimmie to wake her up in the morning . . . The times when he got lost in the sofa cushions trying to make himself comfortable . . . When he stuck his head out the car window at 60 mph and ended up with a hairdo like Elvis . . . When he snapped and snapped and snapped at Max Reed so he would stay away from the sofa . . . When he ate Kimmie's peanut butter cracker snack while she was out of the room . . . When he sat perfectly still for the electric shears the first time Kimmie attempted a grooming . . . When he kept emptying Kimmie's childhood plush toys one by one from her luggage . . . When he inexplicably kept barreling ahead, trying to pass the entire pack of walkers raising money in the Heart Walk, as if he had someplace to be . . . All the times when he curled up on Kimmie's bosom to take a nap . . . When he jumped into a basket bed to nap next to foster Timmy . . . When his collar became attached to our sofa blanket, preventing him from greeting Kimmie at the door despite him tugging, tugging, tugging, trying to get free.
